General Motors is a global company headquartered in Detroit, Michigan, that designs, manufactures, and sells cars, trucks, and automobile parts. It is one of the oldest and most successful American auto companies, and at its peak, it was the world's largest automaker with a 50% market share in the US. Currently, it is the country's largest automobile manufacturer through its four core brands: Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac.
